Owner, CEO and Managing Director
As the owner, CEO and Managing Director of Translations International, Suraj Singh is intimately involved in all aspects of the business. He is responsible for developing client relationships, ensuring quality control and directing the team of project managers, all while keeping an eye on the bottom line.
Suraj entered the language services industry in 2000 when he joined The Ampac Group, which was then the pre-eminent source for in-house Asian language translation and typesetting in the US. Shortly thereafter, Ampac was acquired by McNeil Technologies, and McNeil Multilingual was born. Suraj led the integration of Ampac into McNeil. He became the Managing Director of McNeil Multilingual in 2001 and was responsible for the acquisition of Contact International in 2003. Under Suraj’s leadership, McNeil Multilingual tripled its revenue through both acquisitions and organic growth.
In 2005, Suraj became the Director of Operations for McNeil Technologies’ Intelligence and Language Center, while still leading McNeil Multilingual. In this role, he managed 250 employees, 16 Federal language and intelligence contracts and $30 million in annual revenues. In 2007, Suraj stepped down from the Director of Operations role to form Translations International. He then purchased McNeil Multilingual from McNeil Technologies. His continuous leadership ensured a seamless transition for clients and employees and a strong ongoing relationship with McNeil Technologies.
